Where do all those surface cavities come from?
The biting surfaces of teeth have grooves called fissures (FISH-ers). Larry dives into these with his horn to digest the food that gets caught there. Larry produces cavity-causing acids when he eats food with sugar.
Seal the deal! Dentists use a clear plastic sealant to keep Larry out of these fissures and to keep teeth smooth and cleaner. Brushing for three minutes twice a day with fluoride toothpaste also prevents a buildup of these SCUGS.
Like an ant, Larry has tremendous strength for his size and can do lots of damage in very little time. He must be stopped! Even though grooves only account for about 12% of a tooth’s total surface area, Larry is responsible for 85% of all tooth decay.
